SANDRA BACKMAN
Education Consultant, Animated Series
Sandra Backman began her career as an elementary school teacher and has taught preschool children focusing on Developmental Strategies to ensure reading readiness skills necessary for the transition to kindergarten. After earning her Master’s Degree in Reading, she became a Reading Specialist for two Florida districts.
Backman is also a trained Educator in Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID). AVID is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the philosophy that closes the achievement gap for all students. Concentrating on Mindful Practices in the Intensive Reading Classroom and establishing the Growth Mindset, she has successfully moved the at-risk students to meet State Mandated Standards. Backman continues to establish curriculum and best practices that center on social and emotional practices giving the preschool and school age child a positive learning experience.
Zviah Elder

Zviah is one of Israel’s most innovative and renowned creative directors, a three-time winner of Israel’s prestigious Otot Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement and a co-founder of Gravity Group, with offices in Israel, New York, and Toronto.
In television, she oversaw work on the Emmy Award nominated special Planet Storm and developed the animated series Time Travel Kids, Once A Week, and Soul Bird. She was also executive producer and creative director of The Wumblers, an animated series for preschoolers that won four Telly awards and two Gold Angel Awards.
bruce robb

Bruce has been a children’s television writer and story editor for 26 years. He has written over 200 produced scripts and story edited another 110 produced scripts.
He has worked for HBO Family, Showtime Family, Disney, ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox Family, PBS, and in Canada, CBC, CTV, Global Television, and TVO. TV series highlights include The Cat in the Hat, The Berenstain Bears, Caillou, Sesame Street.
Bruce is the recipient of Silver Telly Awards for The Wumblers. three Bronze Telly awards and a Gold Angel Award. In addition, he has been nominated for Best Animation Script by the Writer’s Guild of Canada.
